It has been ages since I posted...things have been busy. Hopefully I can get back on track soon. Hopefully!
Several weekends ago, I made the first block of the Grandmother's Choice block of the week...twice. The first one didn't end up being the correct size so I made it again...ever so careful that I had the measurements and seam allowance just so. It still isn't perfect but better....
Then a couple weekends ago...Hubby and I went to Destin, Florida to visit a close family friend. We enjoyed the beach so much...incredibly beautiful...very relaxing.
We drove (over 10 hours) to Destin. In the car, I often crochet or knit because unlike reading, it doesn't make me feel sickly, and it gives me a place to focus when Hubby's driving really, really fast or crazy. :)
In the first part of our trip to Destin, I started...pulled it all out and restarted this dishcloth. Knitting it. Not a perfect one but good for a first try....see the hole where I missed a stitch. Oopps! I made another one on the way back home but failed to take a picture... :( ...before I began to use it. The one in the picture was 50 stitches at the widest point but the second one was only 40 stitches. I think I will stick to 40 stitches. It turned out perfect for washing dishes.
This weekend, my sweet niece and her sweet little boy came to visit. We had a pool party and cook out on Saturday and had a relaxing day by the pool making dryer balls. :-)
Coming up soon is the...
....which I will participate. Madame Samm, Sew We Quilt, and Carol, Just Let Me Quilt, are our fearless leader and cheerleader. Hopefully you will join us as we visit all of the participants for Christmas in July!
Lots of fun coming up...great things to share.
