Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
Saturday...We celebrated Christmas with some of our favorite people...a tradition for our family. We had a home full and loved every minute of it. Our youngest guest was one and our oldest...was a beloved Grandmother. We are blessed that so many wanted to join our family at this wonderful time of year.
Today...we celebrated Christmas with family in Virginia. We took a Christmas Eve dinner...including this cake that I thought turned out beautifully (and had to take a pic...it doesn't always look this great). We are thankful to have family to share Christmas Eve with.
Tomorrow...Christmas Day! We will celebrate Christmas Day with our family here in North Carolina. We cherish times when our family can be together during the Holidays. We appreciate them every day but especially on Christmas Day!
So my time in the Quilt Room this week went into this pillow for a friend for his Mom. The diamonds are from feed sacks that belonged to his Grandmother. He wanted to pay tribute to his Grandmother in a gift to his Mom. He traveled to Virginia to spend the Holidays with her. I hope she loves the pillow!
I have also enjoyed many of the Christmas movies on Netflix while I am knitting scarves. I love those silly Christmas movies with a bit of a message. Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without them.
Coming up in the quilt room...I am planning my project for the In Your Words Blog Hop beginning January 7th. We have Madame Samm of Sew We Quilt to thank for getting this started and Linda from Buzzing and Bumbling for organizing everyone. Hope you will join us for our wordy hop. My goal is to hopefully capture some of what we are feeling...wrap it in a quilt that we can enjoy every Christmas...another tradition!
So as we settle in this Christmas Eve...from our family to yours...Merry Christmas!
