Places - Virtual

I started this list a while ago because some places just need to be revisited.  Here are some that I would like to go back to...

During the Wicked Blog Hop, Kathy from Kwilty Pleasures provided a tutorial for a quilt as you go Wicked Mug Rug.  I love the idea of quilt-as-you-go for saving time and the colors she chose are fabulous.  What a great way to use scraps!

Over at Happier Than a Bird Quilts, there is a tutorial on the Spider Web Block.  She even shows how to use the partial wedges to create rectangles.

Christina at Quilts by Christina has a tutorial to "make it your own" "draw it your self block" using a paper piecing method.  The quilt is awesome.

Sara at Sew Sweetness offers tons info about interfacing for bags.  I would like to give the bag making a shot.

From Insights from SewCalGal...2012 Free-Motion Quilting Challenge.  I don't really like the "quilting" part of quilting.  It stresses me and it shouldn't, I know.  But the November Tutorial, by Sarah Vedeler is about swirls.  I think I might give this a shot.  And if I can manage this maybe I will take a closer look the a YEARs! worth of Tutorials.

Jeni from In Color Order has a BOM with HST...includes tutorials.

Ages ago, I used to sew clothes for my daughter...when she was little...and I have sewn a prom dress and band concert "uniform" when she was a bit older.  Clothes aren't hard...I just don't love it like quilting.  But my daughter has expressed that she would love to have a pencil skirt...and then I ran across this tutorial for making a skirt on Project Run and Play by Sally at Daisy Chain Creations...hmmm....she makes it looks to so easy.

A pic-tutorial using machine embroidery to applique a flower from Marjorie's Quilting Bee....part of the Fall Theme Machine Embroidery Blog Hop from Insights from SewCalGal.

Binding Made Easy...need I say more. ~~from Quilt N Queen.

Holiday Mug Rug Tutorial...I love mug rugs and have made several of them and love Christmas...combo is hard to resist.  ~~from The Crafty Quilter.

I will update this post as I discover new places worth a second look.

Till then...

~~Quilt Much!

An update (11/28/12)...ran across this one yesterday.  I love it.  Round Potholders from Charise Creates.

Update (12/2/12)...found this tutorial on binding.  It has some "tips" that I haven't seen before.  I can't wait (meaning...looking forward to finishing something up) to give it a try.  Thank you, Amandajean at Crazy Mom Quilts.

Update (12/26/12)...from !Insights From SewCalGal...a link to a youtube tutorial on binding by Sharon Schamber.  Glue...who knew!

Update (01/01/13)...from Red Pepper Quilts, I followed a link to here...Quiltville.com offers a tutorial on Scrappy Trips Around the World that looks like a lot of fun...and since the seam ripper and I are such good friends...I think I might put this on my "gotta try it" list.

And don't miss the secrets from Mrs. Pickles Garden.

Update (01/04/13)  Earbud pouches.  What a great gift idea!

Update (02/09/13)  Herringbone Quilt Tutorial  I would love to make one of these quilts.  What a great way to use scraps!
